  • Soul care mural | projetbeersheba

SOUL CARE MURAL Through our partner Ewien, Beer Sheba was able to collaborate with artist and missionary Rick Luth to create the mural for the new Soul Care office. Based on an illustration by Rick, Isabella Toombs produced the final painting shown here. Rick Luth For more information on Rick Luth's work https://www.artevermore.net/ Tel: 808-319-1553 Email: artevermore1@gmail.com A story of the project What made you decide to dedicate your time and talents to this project? “I was immediately drawn to the idea of a soul care room for spiritual healing, and I felt blessed and honored to be invited to be a part of such a project. The work I do with Create International is about contextualizing the gospel for other cultures, and this was an opportunity to do that. Even as a child, God had already planted a seed in my heart for the nations of Africa, and when I taught in Tanzania, I had hoped to create a mural with the children there. Additionally, as an art teacher for 30 years, the idea of collaborating with a talented young artist and having her paint was very inspiring to me.” What did it bring you? “Most of my artwork is based on messages or revelations that I feel I have received from God, which is very encouraging. So it’s no surprise that designing this mural brought me so much joy. I’ve always been happy working on this project: I got to know Senegalese culture better and draw the characters, plants and animals. In fact, halfway through the project, I met a man who played the kora, and he let me play his; it was very exciting!” !

  • Elevage | projetbeersheba

Breeding We raise a wide variety of livestock, large and small, in a natural way. With the so-called "Korean farming" system, beneficial microorganisms are cultivated in the soil where animals live in order to counteract harmful bacteria that can cause disease. Cows, goats, sheep, horses and poultry are raised in the open air, without antibiotics, and fed with partly fermented food produced on site. • Services communauté | projetbeersheba

Community Services Back to Our Actions Community Service At the request of the women of the surrounding villages, a first necessities shop was opened at the entrance to the centre. A grain mill and water from the borehole are also distributed with a symbolic contribution from the villagers. The Dispensary Thanks to "Secours Protestant", Beer Sheba was able to open a dispensary with a small pharmacy, managed by Senegalese nurses from the team. This care unit has been so successful that an extension is being built, making it possible to add support relationship care, among other things. The Torchbearers school In the vision of transforming rural communities through the training of young farmers, the education of children emerged as a key issue for Beer Sheba. Launched in 2020 under temporary shelter, The Torchbearers primary school was funded by our main partner, Samaritan's Purse Canada. The first phase of the premises will normally be delivered at the end of 2022.

BEER SHEBA Founded in 2002, the Beer-Sheba project combines a sustainable agro-forestry program with holistic training and an agricultural resource center for young Senegalese farmers. Improve agriculture-Empower the church-Transforming Communities VISITS EVENTS Hello! There are lots of great things happening in Beersheba: we welcome you for weekday tours, Sunday morning worship, and various one-off events throughout the year. 2022 2024 2023 2025 About The Beer-Sheba project is a 100-hectare naturally regenerated forest, located among the Serer farming villages and deforested pastures of the Thiès region. This ecosystem, now 20 years old, continues to mature, making it possible to observe and study wildlife, birds and insects that have all but disappeared from the area.  In our nursery, we grow native trees, especially those that traditionally serve as a source of food or fiber. Through our training program and tours offered for all ages, we aim to train a new generation of stewards of Senegalese flora and fauna. The Beer Sheba team Our team brings together very diverse skills and nationalities. Senegal, France, United States, Netherlands, Ivory Coast, Togo and Mali contribute to the richness of the center.
